A Palm Beach County high school basketball star is getting national attention not for her play on the court, but for her prom dress.
Milan Morris attended Pahokee High School's prom as a guest last Friday night, after missing her own prom at Cardinal Newman.
She wore a dress that features the faces of Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice and dozens of other people whose deaths have been recognized by the Black Lives Matter movement.
The dress was created by a local designer and pictures of it on social media got the attention of CNN and other national media outlets. Morris is perhaps most impressed that rapper Snoop Dogg shared the photo of her in the dress on his Instagram account.
In addition to the faces of people who are well-known to the rest of the country, the dress also features a photo of Corey Jones, who was killed by a now-former Palm Beach Gardens Police Officer who has been charged in his death.
