Florida Ethics Commission: Former Stuart Mayor In The Clear

We have an update on some anti-police comments made by the former mayor of Stuart.  Eula Clarke stepped down as mayor but remains a city commissioner.

The Florida State Ethics Commission has dismissed a complaint against her.

Clarke in February made a comment to a convenience store worker while in front of a police officer that she didn't know they were serving "pig".  The police union filed a complaint.

While Clarke's comments were deemed inappropriate, the Ethics Commission says she didn't break state laws because she gained no privilege or benefit by making the comments.
