Items For Your Hurricane Supply Kit Are Tax Free This Weekend

Florida Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday

It's Hurricane Season and the state is allowing you to save on tax when you purchase items that you may need to keep your family safe in case of a storm.  

The Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday is underway from 12:01 a.m. Friday until Sunday night at 11:59 p.m.

There's no sales tax on coolers or batteries priced at or under $30, flashlights and lanterns selling for $20 or less, reusable ice packs at $10 and under, tarps up to $50 and generators selling for $750 or less.
