This is the final week on the job for Florida's Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater of North Palm Beach.  He has announced he is resigning on June 30 and coming home to Palm Beach County to work as CFO at Florida Atlantic University.

Governor Rick Scott has announced that he is appointing Jimmy Patronis to replace Atwater.

Patronis is a Commissioner on the Florida Public Service Commission.  He was a Republican State House member, representing the 6th District, which included Panama City, from 2006 to 2014.
