Tracking Trump - The President's approval for October 13th:

Bottom Line: This is one of two weekly tracking stories to get a reality/temperature check with regard to what's really going on with public opinion of the President. In this series we'll track the high point, low point and current ratings...

  • Trump's lowest ratings: 37% approval and 59% disapprove: -22% (8/4/17)

  • Trump highest approval ratings were an average 45% approval and 43% disapproval +2% (1/27/17)

  • Trump's current ratings: 39% approval and 56% disapprove: -17%

President Trump's rating is down a point this week. There really wasn't anything notable that would have altered anyone's view aside from NBC doing their best to suggest, for the good of the country mind you, that Tillerson said Trump's a moron. Btw, that allegation derived from a meeting that happened on July 20th. So even if it had been true what was the real point of NBC making a big deal out of it last week? What was their point with regard to the nuclear story from the same meeting this week? There's a clear effort to undermine the administration/country at any cost by NBC (although the credibility already was limited). We'll see what the President's executive action on healthcare means over the next week.

The range was Rasmussen -11% to Reuters -23%

Until next week...
