Hillary Clinton & the 2020 Democratic Primary process

Bottom Line: If we look at the polls right now the top five Democrats running for president are Biden, Warren, Sanders, Buttigieg and Harris – in that order. What gamblers offshore, where it’s legal to gamble on US politics, have to say looks a lot different and with maximum intrigue. Here’s the top five right now based on gambling odds/bettors according to Gambling.com...

  1. Warren
  2. Biden
  3. Sanders
  4. Clinton
  5. Harris/Yang

Before you think I had a stroke about midway through that rundown – I didn’t, and you heard it correctly. Hillary Clinton is now being given the fourth best odds by gamblers to win the Democrat’s nomination for President. She’s been on a rapid rise over the past week as she’s become extremely vocal regarding Trump impeachment and has suddenly booked a full media schedule after rarely granting media access. It could be nothing more than her effort to encourage the impeachment process, after all if there’s accountability for illegal activities from the 2016 cycle – she might have a lot to lose, or it could be something greater. With Joe Biden looking like he’s not up for the challenge and a radical like Elisabeth Warren surging to the top – Hillary might be testing the waters to see if see could become the establishment choice that non-Bernie/Warren voters might support. I have no inside knowledge here but it’s interesting to see gamblers start to put money behind her just as she ramps up her public persona to the most active she’s been since early 2017.
