  • A vacation rental study by IPX1030 showed Florida cities with the highest concentration of AirBnB rentals in the country – Starting with Miami Beach at #1. Other Florida cities included Daytona Beach at #4, Miami at #6, Fort Lauderdale 8th, Orlando 9thand Hollywood 10th
  • Speaking of vacation rentals... Another legal ruling out of Manatee County affirmed that AirBnB isn’t responsible for bed taxes but rather the owners of the homes. 
  • Attorneys for former Broward Deputy Scot Peterson, are preparing to file a motion to have charges against him for his failures at Stoneman Douglas dropped, after the upheld suspension of Sheriff Scott Israel. Peterson currently faces 11 charges.
  • The John Morgan led petition for a $15 minimum wage in Florida has achieved enough signatures to qualify for inclusion on Florida’s 2020 ballot as a proposed constitutional amendment. The next stop is the Florida Supreme Court to consider the language.
