  • The Florida Department of Health reported only 2,826 new COVID-19 cases on Monday continuing the downward trend of new cases. The weekly trend for daily cases has dropped below 4,500 and is the lowest since November 4th.
  • Over 6.5 million doses of a COVID-19 vaccine have been administered based on Monday’s vaccine Report by the FDOH. This includes 2.37 million Floridians who’ve now completed the vaccine schedule.
  • Gas prices are now the highest they’ve been in 3 years according to AAA’s weekly report. Averaging $2.87 per gallon, the last time prices were as high as they currently are, was in June of 2018.
  • Florida currently leads the country in small business employment based upon the monthly Small Business Employment Watch report from Paychex. The monthly report, which measures employment in businesses with fewer than 50 employees, showed Florida’s leading the country in job growth with Tampa being the top region in the state.
  • Pensacola based Big John Shark Fishing Adventures led a group from Idaho which caught a Great White Shark they reeled in on Pensacola Beach. The shark took 40 minutes to reel in and was released.
