  • The Florida Department of Health announced 5,302 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. The total was the highest daily total since early March and led to the weekly trend rising to the highest level since March 13th.
  • Over 5 million Floridians have now been vaccinated with at least a 1st dose of a COVID vaccine based on the FDOH’s most recent vaccine report. This includes nearly 2.3 million Floridians who’ve been vaccinated with a first dose of a Moderna or Pfizer vaccine who are awaiting and second and nearly 2.8 million who’ve completed the vaccine schedule.
  • Florida’s nursing home visitation emergency orders have been lifted. Emergency Management Director Jared Moskowitz signed an executive order canceling the four emergency orders limiting access to nursing homes which have been in force for over a year. While the orders have been lifted, all nursing home facilities have been directed to enforce CDC guidance including the use of masks, social distancing and frequent handwashing. This comes on back of all nursing home residents and staff having been offered vaccinations.
  • After a record 31 space launches took place in Florida in 2020, the industry is set to continue to rapidly grow in our state. A total of 53 space missions, or an average of more than one a week, are scheduled this year on the Space Coast.
