The Israel-Hamas War - This Is Still About Islam - Top Three Takeaways – October 11th, 2023
- This is still about Islam. As the horrific images and horrific stories continue to emerge from Hamas’ terror attacks in Israel... It’s as clear as ever that what we’re witnessing is a battle between good and evil. Babies by the dozens beheaded. The elderly burned alive. Teens mowed down from behind by the hundreds. Women raped until they can’t be raped anymore. As horrific as this is, what’s happened in Israel is a brand of evil that’s anything but new – only the tactics in how the acts of terror were carried out were. In fact, did you know, that the current death toll from Hamas’ terror attacks in Israel only account for 11.6% of the Islamic terror deaths in the world thus far this year? That’s right, thus far this year there have been 1,343 Islamic terror attacks carried out across 46 countries resulting in the death of 7,781 people with an additional 7,089 who’ve been injured. The reason this is almost certainly news to you is due to the willingness of news organizations around the world to look the other way in the face of Islamic terrorism. Given that most of the acts of terror are carried out in the middle east and in parts of Africa against Christians and Jews – it's usually easy for them to do. But terrorism is a way of life for many because this is still about Islam, and most specifically, those who adhere to sharia law. There have been far too many times to count the number of times I’ve spoken about the evil that Islam is when practiced under the belief in sharia law. In part due to ignorance and in part due to political correctness most people don’t have the first clue what hard core Islamists stand for. You’ve been conditioned to believe that terrorists aren’t really Islamists and that the rest of hard-core Islamists want sunshine and lollipops. None of that’s true. I’ve depicted this for years, but to be brief it’s like this. Islam is full of different sects – not unlike most other religions. What’s different is that what we call terrorism, is actually a sect of Islam called for in the Quran by Mohammad himself. It’s carried out through sharia law.
- Islam when practiced under sharia law is evil. Period. And yes, there are more Muslims that pay homage to sharia law than we’d like to admit. Consider that in 2013 the Pew Research Center studied Muslims in 39 countries. On the question of whether suicide bombings or other like attacks on civilians can be justified – at least 8% of Muslim populations in every country studied leave open the possibility for justification. In the United States 14% of Muslims held that view and in fact 7% of American Muslims said the attacks were justified. Which again, helps to explain the pro-terrorist rallies which have been held across this country in recent days including right here in South Florida. And here’s the thing about terror being justified...under their belief system – it is. The Quran’s chapters are known as Sura’s and in Sura 9:5 you’ll find: So, when the sacred months expire, kill the Mushriks (believers in other gods) wherever you find them, and catch them and besiege them and sit in ambush for them everywhere. When the [four] forbidden months are over, wherever you encounter the idolaters, kill them, seize them, besiege them, wait for them at every lookout post. In Sura 47:4 it states: When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield, strike off their heads. In Sura 4:76 it states: The true believers fight for the cause of God, but the infidels fight for the devil. Fight then against the friends of Satan. And lest there be any doubt there is Sura 48:29 which states: Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. So yeah. The Quran has always called for and continues to call for acts that we recognize as terror against everyone who isn’t “with Muhammad”.
- You might say it’s the ultimate...you’re with us or against us type of thing. This is why for 1,500 years people have been slaughtering people and torturing people while chanting God is great. As always there are two sides to stories and one side to facts and these happen to be facts about what’s called for by Muhammad in the Quran. What separates civilized Muslims in society from terrorists across societies is whether one strictly adheres to the law of Muhammad under sharia. But here’s the next uncomfortable truth. That same Pew Reasearch study found 80% of Muslims in Asia favor sharia law, along with 64% - 74% of Muslims in African countries and in the Middle East. And in the Palestinian territories – it stands at 75%. In other words, for the largest Muslim populations in the world, extremism isn’t the minority position. And that takes us back to where we are with Hamas today. I’ll walk you back to an NBC News story from January 29th, 2006. Headline to the story: Hamas says it will use Islamic law as guide. The lead line to the story... Hamas will use sharia as a guide for legislation after winning Palestinian elections. And that’s exactly what they’ve always done. Btw, looking back on this nearly 18-year old story there’s this near the conclusion: Although Hamas is formally committed to destroying Israel, it has said it could accept a temporary state and a long term truce if Israel gave up all of the West Bank and East Jerusalem following last year’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip. My favorite part is NBC reporting that with the equivalent of a straight face. In essence it’s like this... So yeah, formally we’re committed to destroying you, but we’ll let you live, let’s call it a truce, if you give us everything we demand today. Which we’ll then use to stage the attacks to attempt to destroy you tomorrow. Cool? Cool. And that’s the kind of absurdity that’s accepted as a legitimate position by news media and news outlets around the world time and again. The Quran hasn’t changed in 1,500 years. Sharia law hasn’t changed in 1,500 years. Terrorism under it hasn’t changed in 1,500 years. The only thing that has changed over the past 1,500 years is political correctness. The same political correctness that continues to get people around the world killed in the name of Allah. Because they, unlike me, are afraid to tell you that all of this is still about Islam, which under sharia is evil, period.
