Three bodies have now been found in the St. Lucie River after a carload of suspects crashed a stolen vehicle into the waterway.

The car that was stolen in Boynton Beach was pursued by a Martin County Sheriff's helicopter early Tuesday morning as it was moving at speeds of over 100 miles per hour before diving into the river.

Sheriff William Snyder says prosecutors are working on murder charges for the two surviving suspects who were caught.

"If someone asked me how sympathetic am I to this drowning victim, I'll tell you this: I'm as sympathetic to him as he would have been to the nurse going to the hospital at night to work had he killed her."

17-year old Damion Toussaint and 18-year old Enrique Hernandez were sent to the hospital and then released at the request of the state attorney's office.

The crash happened near the corner of Kanner Highway and Cove Road in Stuart around 1 a.m.

With the third body being pulled from the water, that means all five suspects are accounted for.
