Cheat Sheet Q&A:
Good Friday & The Bible (series):
Bottom Line: Good Friday is a good time to share the latest information regarding the Bible series airing on the History Channel.
You may have heard about the ratings success of the Bible on the History Channel after its first episode broke ratings records for a cable broadcast. But has the Bible kept up its momentum? The answer is largely yes. Each broadcast has been a 2 hour episode with the following results (rounded to the nearest million)
The 5th and final episode is Easter Sunday.
Here is something else that’s significant. The Bible was rejected by all of the major broadcast networks despite Mark Burnett being behind the production. Additionally while the TV viewing audience has clearly voted in favor of The Bible (it’s been the #1 show 2 of the four episodes and #2 for the other two), the critics have not: http://www.metacritic.com/tv/the-bible/critic-reviews
You’ll see that the professionals deem it to be not even worthy of checking out with an average score of 44 out of 100.
By comparison the HBO series – Beyonce Life is but a Dream is given a 56: http://www.metacritic.com/tv/beyonce-life-is-but-a-dream
Sooo I’m sure this is all just a coincidence right? It’s clear what the agenda by the networks and the critics actually is. My message to you is this. It’s more important than ever for you to adhere to what you believe in. Don’t be afraid to believe and to proudly share your message. It may not always be popular but you know the saying… What is right is not always popular…
God Bless and Happy Easter!
Final economic projection for 1st quarter:
Bottom Line: Yesterday we received the final revision of the 4th quarter
So if my model is correct what does this mean?
2% growth is the base level of growth we need to keep up with inflation pressure and population growth in the economy. 3% is the base level of growth we need to see meaningful improvement in employment and wage growth. We’ve only experienced 3%+ growth in one quarter since the Great Recession. We might have a chance to do it again. The second quarter will be critical to see if we’re finally able to break through and maintain economic momentum.
What’s next for stocks? History paints a positive picture:
Bottom Line: We just wrapped up one of the ten best quarters for the stock market ever. Not only did we average a 10% return for the 1st quarter but we posted increases in each month of the 1st quarter. Based on history…:
So… With the market returning 10% so far… If history were to repeat itself we’re in for about 7% more for the final nine months of the year.
$10,000 if you can disprove Genesis:
Bottom Line: A California Scientist has an offer that any sure fire atheist surly would take up. He’s offering $10,000 to anyone who can prove, in a court setting, that Genesis isn’t true. Here’s how it works:
I love this for so many reasons. It gets down to the core question that no atheist will ever be able to explain. Let’s say that there was a big bang, let’s say that single cell organisms were created after the big bang, let’s say that we evolved from single cell organisms.
What created the planets that banged together that led to the rest of life? So for non-believers it’s very simple. Don’t argue about this situation. Put your money where your mouth is. If you’re right you’ll win $10,000 and have proven your point.
Are you compromising your child’s identity (or yours) at their school?:
Bottom Line: I was going through the latest list of places ID thefts were targeting not expecting to find anything new. I did though. One of the places ID thieves are now targeting… Public Schools.
Criminals see public schools as soft targets for being able to steal info. Many schools create a gold mine of info for thieves including in some cases Social Security number of both you and your child. You can see how terrible the outcome could be for you and your children.
Simply put – no school has the right to demand that info. You can just say no and you should. If you’ve already provided this info to a school, you should contact them and have it removed from their records.
