There are reports that a major roster turnover is coming for the Miami Dolphins, ahead of the NFL regular season's Game 1.

According to the Miami Herald, several players have privately admitted that they are either unhappy with or confused by the team's direction over the past month.  Moves have included cutting Chad Johnson and trading Vontae Davis to Indianapolis.

The final cut to the 53 man roster is Friday, with the final pre-season game to be played Wednesday night, and there is speculation by a league source that as many as 10 players who will be on the roster come the first game in Houston are right now free agents or playing for another team.

It's no secret the Dolphins are looking for a veteran wide receiver to come in and actually catch balls.  Davone Bess could be the only safe WR out of 10 who are with the team currently.

The Davis trade is believed to have been a move to give Miami more trade bait (2 draft picks) to get a receiver from another team.

Ryan Tannehill is expected to play during the final preseason game in Dallas, but not for a long time.
