After watching receiver after receiver drop passes during the team's winless pre-season, Miami is searching for a veteran wideout who will make a difference.
According to a report in the SunSentinel, they have begun a series of workouts and a league source confirms Donte Stallworth is among those taking part. He was recently cut by the Patriots.
Stallworth, a 10-year veteran, is from Miami and was arrested on DUI manslaughter charges there a few years ago.
Odd that a team that cut Chad Johnson a day after his arrest for alleged domestic violence would even entertain the idea of bringing on a WR with a more serious charge having been levied against him.
This perhaps shows how desperate the Dolphins have become in the need for a solid player in that position.
It should be noted that Stallworth agreed to a plea deal and put the charges behind him.
Oh yeah, Miami lost AGAIN Wednesday night, against the Dallas Cowboys back-ups, though I was impressed with rookie QB Ryan Tannehill's play, for the most part.
He only came in for two series.
