It's the hum-drum bye week for us Dolphins fans.

The latest report on the team is that the players were planting seeds at an elementary school.

The assumption would be that coach Joe Philbin is giving his players plenty of rest ahead of next week's preparation for the New York Jets.

Let's get ahead of ourselves a bit and think about what the team needs to do to win in "Fins-Jets Take 2":

1) Reggie Bush has to become, well Reggie Bush, again.  17 yards is not going to cut it.  Miami needs to run the ball to take pressure off their young quarterback.

2) Find Brian Hartline.  There must be a police bulletin out for the receiver who put up 253 yards in one game this season and didn't catch one pass against the Rams last week.  It's likely that he was double covered much of the game and rookie QB Ryan Tannehill didn't want to take the chance of throwing the ball in his direction.  Hartline, then needs to find a way to break free and come open.

3) Continue to play stout defense.  I would like to see the team give up fewer big plays, despite the fact that they do have a knack for keeping offenses out of the end zone.

In other news:

You had to know that she was going to get a gig sooner or later.

Ryan Tannehill's wife, Lauren has been trying to get a modeling job since the couple moved to South Florida when Tanny was picked number 8 in the first round of the NFL Draft.

She has partnered with Duffy's Sports Grill to engage fans of the Dolphins through social media.

The beautiful one will be directly involved with the Fins and Duffy's for charity events and ticket giveaways.  By following Duffy's and Tannehill on Twitter and Facebook, fans will have the chance to win Miami Dolphins tickets and find out how they too can participate in other exciting events with Tannehill.

In case you haven't seen Mrs. Tanny, she is on the right of her hubby in this pic.
