I know I said "8-8" would end the season for the Miami Dolphins, but you know, I am wrong sometimes.

I would love to say that the Fins have what it takes to beat Tom Brady and the Pats in New England on Sunday, but if Brady and Bellichick think there is a shot at them getting a playoff round 1 bye, they will not step off the gas against an injury-depleted Miami defensive back.

The team has been plugging in players left and right and you just can't beat a player of Brady's caliber without your "A team".

The Patriots will know the result of the Houston-Indy game by the time they take the field against the Fins at 4:25pm.  If Houston wins that earlier game, New England has no real shot at a bye week in the playoffs and thus nothing really to play for in the Miami game.

That means, Brady and some of the other starters could be yanked at some point during the game, but my pick is on the assumption that Miami will get the full-scale Patriot attack.

With a loss at NE on Sunday, this year's Miami Dolphins would finish the season 7-9, still better than last season.

Pick: Patriots 38 - Dolphins 24
