Thought#1:

I think Mitt Romney ran a respectable campaign. I think he hammered home on the points he felt were important to the country and I feel he's honest in his concern. I just don't happen to agree with everything he says. I think Barack Obama should make good on his promise that the next four years will be better. He should make every effort to reach across the aisle and find some common ground to start solving our problems and healing our nation. There's a wide open gap right now between left and right and it's tearing people apart...even friends and family and that's just not right. I think people like Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid should let their brains get into gear before they open their mouths.

Thought#2:

It appears the sticking point over solving the fiscal cliff will once again be taxes. The Republicans don't want any tax increases and the Democrats want them as part of the overall solution. Why in the heck don't they just have the guts to revamp the tax code and get it overwith. The tax code we have now apparently isn't working. Solve the fiscal cliff please.

Thought#3:

Republicans and Democrats. Conservatives and Liberals. Right and Left. AHA!!! That's the one I was looking for...right and left. I think the conservatives have gone way to far to the right and they've lost their identity as the GOP. I think liberals have moved too far to the left and should start moving back to the center. I think it's a damn shame that we had U.S. Senators give up their seats because they were moderates and they were taking heat from people in their own party and they just decided public service wasn't worth it any longer. That just isn't right either.

Thought#4:

The election is over. Let us all leave the venom out of our conversations. He may not have been a great role model for anyone, but I think Rodney King put it best. "Can't we all just get along?"
