Times are a little tough right now for all of us. I know I've had to tighten my financial belt somewhat with higher gas prices, grocery prices, my electric bill and so on. That's why we work hard every day, gathering, preparing and delivering what we hope are stories that help you in your everyday life. If we happen to be missing items that are important to you, please send me an email. Let me know what you think of the Morning Rush. I'd love to hear from you!
I stumbled upon a distressing story yesterday. I am and have been a fan of True Blood, the series about vampires on HBO. I watched the very first season and every one ever since. For Brian, it started getting a little weird after the first season so he walked away from it. Not me. I loved the introduction of werewolves, shifters and fairies. By the way, Sookie, played by Anna Paquin, is a fairie.
But the story says HBO is bringing down the curtain after next season. It'll end following a 10 episode season that begins next summer. That'll be the seventh season. I've always liked things vampire for some reason. I'm a big fan of the "Underworld" movie series too. But there's always been this special connection with those folks in that small Louisiana town and all the crazy problems they encounter.
What surprises me is that HBO is ending such a successful show for them. Episodes averaged more than ten million viewers for the sixth season which ended last month.
I have been enjoying various series on Netflix. HBO has a couple of other series I really enjoy:
Boardwalk Empire and The Newsroom. Guess I'll have to find another to sink my teeth into.
