Superintendent Gent wants that, but School Board will have to make decision.
With all 29 graduation ceremonies now complete, the Palm Beach County School Board will have to decide if it wants to keep them at the South Florida Fairgrounds. Superintendent Wayne Gent will ask the board to renew the contract with fairgrounds at a date later this month. The ceremonies had previously been held the Palm Beach County Convention Center on Okeechobee Blvd. before moving to the Fairgrounds for the 2011-2012 school year. The move was expected to save the School District $ 97,000. The exact amount saved will soon be announced.
