Travelers using the toll road will see increases of at least 25 cents.
Get ready to pay little more if you use the Turnpike or the Saw grass Expressway. The new increase will take effect Sunday morning June 24th, starting at 6am. Across South Florida, the increase will be at least 25 cents even if you use SunPass. Drivers using cash will pay $1.25 instead of $1.00,south of the Lantana toll Plaza, and SunPass users will now have to pay $1.00 instead of 75 cents. If you’re traveling along Alligator Alley the increase for cash users will be $3.00 and SunPass travelers will now pay $2.75. The increases stem from a law passed five years ago that lets the Florida Department of Trans portation to link tolls to the consumer price index.
