Fla airboat captain might think twice before feeding alligators.
A day that started out like any other day quickly turned into a nightmare for one airboat captain. Captain Wally of Captain Doug's Airboat Tours in Everglades City near Naples. The captain was seen feeding an alligator when witnesses say the gator bit off Wally's hand. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials were able to capture the gator, cut open the stomach and retrieve the hand. Wally was taken to a local hospital where doctors hope to reattach the hand.
