They are offering discount spay/neuter services for large dogs.
It pays to have a large dog. Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control is trying to curb the amount of bigger breeds that become abandoned, so they are offering spaying or neutering services at a discount every Monday and Tuesday through the month of September.
During the so-called "Marmaduke Madness", named in tribute to the large dog from the comic strip, $50 will cover sterilization, rabies vaccine, tag and microchip.
FYI: Animal Care and Control offers free sterilization of pit bull terriers and pit bull mixes. Residents on public assistance may also get their pets sterilized for free.
