Battle brewing within GOP Congressional Primary, but no debates

You won't see any GOP Congressional debates in the race for the newly created House District 18 seat.
Martin County Sheriff and Congressional candidate Robert Crowder is calling out his challenger in the primary, U.S. Rep. Allen West, for declining to debate him. The West camp returned fire, calling the Republican Sheriff a "Democrat", saying the time to debate the Democrats will come after the August primary.
Crowder claims West opted out after the Palm Beach Post offered to host a televised debate between the two candidates.
West, currently serving in District 22, wants to be re-elected to the U.S. House in the new District 18, which was created during reapportionment.
