As of this past weekend, Sailfish Splash in Stuart topped the $1 million mark, with more than 77,000 visitors since the park opened in April.

There are nearly 50 days left during the waterpark's inaugural season, so there is time for more money.

Martin County Parks and Recreation officials expect Sailfish Splash, the county-run park, to finish it's first season in the black.

Here is the full press release from Martin County:

At close-of-business on Sunday, July 15, Martin County’s Sailfish Splash Waterpark reached a financial milestone. The Waterpark’s season-to-date receipts totaled $1,010,691, exceeding the forecasted revenue of $884,750. Current operating expenses are $572,292.

Less than fifty operating days remain in the Waterpark’s inaugural season which will allow it to generate additional revenue. “The current trend of average daily revenue and attendance show promising signs for the success of this facility,” said Martin County Parks and Recreation Department Director Kevin Abbate.

More than 77,000 people have visited Sailfish Splash Waterpark since it opened in April.
