Longtime local film critic Hap Erstein gives us his take on the newest films.

Our hearts go out to the loved ones of those dealing with the tragedy at the Colorado movie theater, where a shooter opened fire on people watching the new Batman film.  While the incident may cause some to reconsider going to the movies this weekend, we'll share the review from Hap Erstein with PalmBeachArtsPaper.com, and you can decide.

"Dark Knight Rises" - Christian Bale reprises his role as Batman for a third (and he says final) time with director Christopher Nolan.  This time, the nemesis is Bane, a masked man who lives underneath Gotham City.  Despite the marred excitement over this film, because of the shootings at the midnight showing in Aurora, Colorado, Hap says it's a great movie.  Click Here

The new Batman flick is the only commercial release this week, but if you're looking for an alternative:

"Take This Waltz" - Funnyman Seth Rogen is not so funny in this serious film.  Hap says you may be surprised by his performance.  Click Here
