A Lake Worth couple is getting a home makeover, courtesy of 90s rapper Vanilla Ice. the Wellington resident, whose real name is, Rob Van Winkle hosts a special on the D-I-Y network "VIP: Ice My House".
He greeted Nesty and Michelle Nunez outside their home yesterday. both work at Wellington Elementary School and bought their single family home in 2009, as a fixer-upper.
They re-did the entire interior, but never got to the patio and backyard. The show's contractors will transform that portion of the property for the Nunezes in less than a month. The special featuring the couple will air in early 2013.
The couple was chosen from 1,000 photo and video entries, to receive the $30,000 room renovation as part of the networks show.
Van Winkle also hosts another show on the do it yourself network, "The Vanilla Ice Project". For the third season of that show, his team will fix up a run-down Palm Beach Area mansion.
