Our state does have 4 communities on Bloomberg News' Top 20.

It may come as no surprise, but four of the top places in the nation for the rich to retire is here in Florida.  Three are in our area.

The Village of Golf, near Boynton Beach, is the lone ranking Palm Beach County community on Bloomberg News' top 20, which includes only municipalities with a large proportion of residents aged 65 and older, with mean household incomes of at least $75,000.

Golf is ranked number two, behind only a small town in Washington state.  Hunts Point is a suburb of Seattle, yet Bloomberg tells us that more seniors would rather retire there, than in sunny Florida.

Jupiter Island, in Martin County, also finds itself on this list, at number 11, based partly on its many golf courses, including the one in the backyard of the home recently bought by one of the town's most famous residents, Tiger Woods.

The Indian River County town of Orchid ranks in at number 7.  Bloomberg News sites an Arnold Palmer-designed golf club and a beach club.

The only other Florida community on the list is The Villages in Central Florida.
