Elections Supervisors throughout Florida are warning of a scam in which voters are sent letters, claiming to be from the respective county supervisor, and questioning their citizenship and voter eligibility.
There were at least two of these cases in Indian River County, though none reported in the rest of the Treasure Coast or Palm Beach County. IRC Election Supervisor Leslie Swann told TCPalm that she doesn't appreciate someone using her name in a bogus letter.
The Florida Department of State is investigating possible voter intimidation. Swan has referred the matter to statewide law enforcement.
If you get one of these letters, send them or bring them to your county's elections supervisor.
