The lifeguard stand on Lantana Beach is no more.
It was washed into the ocean on Sunday, by waves that were whipped up by Hurricane Sandy.
There was also flooding on Flagler Drive and submerged docks in Jupiter.
High surf expected at area beaches, many of which may remain closed.
Meanwhile, Florida Power & Light has sent more than 500 workers and contractors to Maryland, Virginia and D.C.. Nine FPL trucks and 14 restoration workers are leaving from the Jupiter FPL service center. They'll help with power restoration efforts in the Northeast.
