Sid Dinerstein has been in position for 10 years. Why is he leaving in December?
The Palm Beach County Republican Party lost some candidates on election night, now they'll be losing their leader.
After ten years as the local GOP Party Chair, Sid Dinerstein says he will step aside in December. According to the Palm Beach Post, Dinerstein was elected to five consecutive two-year terms. His current term ends in December.
Dinerstein says it has quote "absolutely nothing to do with the outcome of the election".
He sent an email to county republicans on Wednesday titled "The Death of Heroism". In it, he wrote quote "It is hard to see a future for Conservatism. It does not exist in Europe, or California. It is no longer welcome in Americal The republican party will have to take a good look in the mirror and decide what, if any, future it has."
Then Dinerstein wrote this declaration, quote..."We will not settle in to become the tax collectors for an Obamanation".
