A major announcement will be made Thursday afternoon at Pratt & Whitney headquarters in Jupiter.
The company announced Tuesday that the chairman and CEO of its parent company, United Technologies, will be in Palm Beach County for the big announcement.
Insiders say he's expected to discuss a $63 million expansion plan involving a new production line for Pratt & Whitney's commercial jet engines.
The company is also expected to take on 230 new hires.
Thursday's announcement will be made at 4 p.m.
Governor Rick Scott is scheduled to be in attendance for the event.
