Agency asks the Panhandle Facility to forbid guard from having contact with children

Juvenille prison guard Shannon Abbot returned to work today after generating controversy last August when the Florida Department of Juvenille Justice released a video of the guard taking a 15-year-old inmate to the ground.
The inmate filed a report using an abuse hotline provided by the Department of Children and Famlies, sparking an investigation. The agency is asking the facility to forbid Abbot from interacting with children. Abbot pleaded "not guilty" when she was charged for the alleged abuse.
