Monday is the busiest day of the year for the United States Postal Service, with an estimated 658 million pieces of mail being shipped.
Expect lines at your local post office, but know that the USPS can handle most of the same services online.
Deadlines for letters and packages:
Thursday, Dec. 20 is your last date to send something first class and have it arrive at its destination in time for Christmas.
Friday, Dec. 21 is the deadline for Priority Mail.
Saturday, Dec. 22 is the deadline for USPS Express Mail.
If you're expecting a Christmas card, Wednesday, Dec. 19 is the busiest delivery day for holiday cards. The biggest deliver day for holiday packages is Thursday, Dec. 20.
