Update:

Noel is back at the Big Dog Ranch in Wellington.  The no-kill shelter's president says someone working at the rescue ranch took the five week old pup to Volusia County.

The un-named woman allegedly gave Noel away as a Christmas gift to a relative, but that relative caught wind of the story and brought the pup back.

Now, Noel can have surgery on her hernia.

(Original Story):

Someone stole the five and a half week old puppy from Big Dog Ranch Rescue, a no-kill shelter in Welington.

It happened on Christmas Eve, as Noel and the rest of her litter had been placed in a play yard.

The puppy is in dire need of medical treatment.  She has a hernia and could die if it's not treated.

Lauree Simmons, President of  Big Dog Ranch Rescue says she will give a reward to anyone with information leading to the safe return of the puppy.  She says she will forgive the thief if they just bring the dog back safely, no questions asked.

The Palm Beach Post reports the reward is $2,500.  Call 561-310-6591, if you have any information.
