That next great product could be born tonight.

It's all about connecting entrepreneurs with the folks who have the financial backing to make their products a reality.

The Angel Forum of Florida is a non-profit that's aimed at helping to reshape the local business community.  Entrepreneurs who have an invention or idea for a product or service have the chance to present a "pitch" to "Angel Investors", who will then consider whether to put their money behind those businesses.

Jason Brown, local C.P.A. and chairman of the Angel Forum of Florida says it's a lot like the tv show "Shark Tank", but no deals are signed on site.  Careful thought is always put in and due diligence is performed.  He says "the companies that do make presentations on "Shark Tank" are similar to the type of companies we'll see making presentations at our group."

Brown calls it " a way for people to network and maybe meet the right people that they need to become successful and hopefully get funding that they need for the company."

He says they are trying to create an "entrepreneurial ecosystem, we want Palm Beach County to become a place where innovation and technology can prosper.  Where great companies don't have to leave and go to other states to try to find funding.

The Angel Forum of Florida hosts both the wealthy investors and the entrepreneurs and give tips and advice to those presenting.  The meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Abacoa Golf Club in Jupiter.

This week's meeting begins at 5:30 and your ticket price includes dinner.

Attendees, presenters and investors all must pay, though members of the Angel Forum get discounted pricing.
