If a movie will be a part of your Valentine's evening, along with a bottle of wine or champagne of course, Hap Erstein with PalmBeachArtsPaper.com offers some suggestions and tells us about one movie to stay away from.  That would be the aptly titled "Valentine's Day", which features a laundry list of big Hollywood names, but in Hap's words is not very good.

Hap's suggestions:

On DVD/Blu Ray:

"Love Actually" - British-made film starring Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson and others.

"When Harry Met Sally" - Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan attempt to stay plutonic, despite an obvious attraction.

"The Graduate" - The 1967 film starring a young Dustin Hoffman and an older Anne Bankcroft.

Alternative Romantic Selection:

"Brokeback Mountain" - The late Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhall "get to know eachother" while on a mountain, despite each being married to women.

At the Movies Now:

"Silver Linings Playbook" - The multiple-Oscar nominee stars Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence as mentally disturbed lovers.  Robert Deniro is in this as well, playing Bradley's father.

"Safe Haven" - As of our interview with Hap for the Valentine's Day recommendations, he had not screened this film, which came out just in time for Valentine's Day.  It is from a Nicholas Sparks book, so you know it's a romantic film.  Hap's review of this movie coming on Friday.
