Florida law enforcement conduct "Operation Intercept 2", bust 30 grown men looking for sex with children.
An online underage sex sting, now completed by the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office. They called it Operation Intercept Two.
Spokeswoman Wendy Rose says investigators spent one week this month, answering ads placed by men looking for sex with children. Those ads were really placed by investigators with the Sheriff's Office. She says 30 online predators arrived at a location in Sarasota County with the intent of having sex with a child or children, or adults and children.
Rose says the operation started on February 8th and ended a week later, and some of these suspects came from as far away as northeast Florida.
During another internet child predator sting last year, the same law enforcement agency netted 31 arrests, including three South Florida men. The highest profile of them being Lieutenant Commander Shawn Gray with the U.S. Coast Guard Judge Advocate Corps who was stationed in Miami.
