Five area hospitals have received national accolades.
Jupiter Medical Center and Martin Health System are on the Healthgrades 2013 list of the top 50 hospitals in the U.S.
Sebastian River Medical Center made it to the top 100 list by Healthgrades, a company that develops market quality and safety rankings of healthcare providers.
Jupiter Medical Center was named one of the nation's best hospitals for three consecutive years, only one of seven in the state to get those honors. That puts JMC in the top 1 percent in the nation out of more than 4,500 hospitals evaluated.
Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Delray Medical Center also made the top 50.
