Authorities are investigating after a 77-year-old Massachusetts man died on a flight from Florida to Boston.

A spokesman for the Suffolk district attorney's office says the Newbury resident had underlying medical issues that required the use of an oxygen tank and his death Tuesday does not appear suspicious.

The man was on a JetBlue flight from Tampa, Fla., to Boston with his daughter when he experienced some sort of medical distress and became unresponsive.

Crew and passengers attempted to help the man, who was pronounced dead after the plane landed at Logan International Airport just before 8 p.m.

The man's name was not disclosed.
