Longtime local film critic Hap Erstein shares his take on the newest film releases.

Hap Erstein with PalmBeachArtsPaper.com tells us about the latest film aimed at kids.  It's based on the old fable "Jack and the Beanstalk".    @

"Jack the Giant Slayer" - A young farmhand opens a portal between the real world and one where giants call home.

"21 and Over" - The writers of "The Hangover" tell the story of a college student turning 21 who decides to let it all go, despite an early morning medical school interview the next day.

"The Sweeney" - Tearing up the streets of London, this is an action film that proves sometimes you have to act like a criminal to catch a criminal.  Hap tells us it is based on the 1970s British television show.

"The Last Exorcism Part 2" - A continuation of the first movie, featuring the previously possessed Nell Sweetzer and the evil force that returns to wreak more havoc.

"Phantom" - Ed Harris and the "X Files" David Duchovny team up in a Cold War suspense/thriller. It's being described as a suspense submarine thriller about extraordinary men facing impossible choices.
