A Piper PA31 aircraft crashed soon after taking off from the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, according to the FAA.

The crash happened about 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Local10.com says a large plume of black smoke could be seen from Interstate 95 and Commercial Boulevard.
Wsvn.com says the crash happened near at 940 NW 61st Place, near Ft Lauderdale Executive Airport.
Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport public information officer Chaz Adams told CBS Miami the plane went into a warehouse, believed to be UK Stone Warehouse, near the southwest corner of the building.
According to local10.com the plane appeared to have crashed in the parking lot of the warehouse and several vehicles were on fire. It says a propeller was seen in the parking lot.
A witness told WSVN that the plane appeared to have lost one of two engines on take-off, rolled and crashed.
It is not immediately clear if there were any casualties.
