If your child or your spouse enjoys a ride on the carousel, this is your chance to enjoy one, while helping kids with special needs.
For each $2 ride on the carousel at Downtown at the Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens Saturday, $2 will be donated to the ESE program at Allamanda Elementary School.
Organizer Alissa Dragun, whose son attends an ESE kindergarten class at the school, says the Exceptional Student Education progrma needs specialized teachers, and therefore the school needs additional funding for that training.
The program is for children with ADHD (Attention Deficit), Autism and other developmental disabilities.
Dragun says there's no fanfare, just the chance to ride the carousel while enjoying your day or evening Saturday, while helping her son and the others attending these special education classes.
Note: Carousel is open from 10am to 8pm. Tokens must be purchased from the machine at the ride in order for your money to go to Allamanda's ESE classes.
